Heartbreaking...

It breaks my heart when she is hurting, especially the heart and soul kinda hurt!

Mikaela has been in some trouble at school of late, with her "best" friend. Theirs is not a healthy realtionship, it is very LOVE-HATE (even co-dependant :()... and it is awful to watch.

We are in the process of setting up a more supportive environment for Mikaela at school. Your prayers for her easy transition to this change in her life would be much appreciated.

This mother/teaching job sure is a tough one, forget office politics, this is the REAL DEAL...

i hear ya!
i hope everything works out for her. sarah has some 'issues' and we just started her with a counselor. as parents we have to do whatever we can to help our kids grow into happy, healthy adults..... even if we get a few *stress highlights* (gray hairs) along the way!
good luck and hugs and prayers sent your way - patty :-)

Oh I feel for you! Being a parent is absolutely the toughest job out there! Having both girls and a boy, I swear it's a lot harder raising girls because of how strongly they are affected by their social lives. Just keep helping her value herself and listen to her heart, and she'll get better at dealing with all the friendship issues. Oh, it's so tough, and I'm afraid it's not going to get easier for a while. Hang in there!

Oh dear sweet Mikaela! I will keep you both in my prayers. It's funny when I hear people say "oh she's just a mom she don't work". These people seriously have no clue and when your mothering a girl it's all they harder as their souls are so tender and emotional and their social life is all important, she's lucky to have you as a support system. Many prayers for you both.

::big hugs::

Hey Bek. Reading about Mikaela's hurt reminded me of my own daughter. Yes being at school is tougher for girls than for boys because they are so affected by the social interactions and peer behaviour. It never ceased to amaze me that the girls needed to be part of "the group" and that at a wink would be bullied out of the group and ultimately the school. The wash up is that they can move on with lots of support and in my very small way, I am thinking of you both and send lots of love, enough for you both, Josh and Nathan
